Alan J. Levitz, CLU, ChFC, CFP® - CEO

Alan is the CEO of GCG Financial, having been a part of the firm since 1983. Alan is responsible for implementing the firm's mission of providing GCG clients with customized and innovative solutions that help to enhance financial security and create wealth. In addition to his management responsibilities, Alan uses his expertise in business and estate planning as a contributing member of GCG's Design Center. He consults with clients and associates of GCG Financial on business continuation planning, estate planning and executive compensation strategies for their clients.

Alan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 1982. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) in 1989 and has been a Certified Financial Planner™ professional since 1996.

Alan is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a founding member of the Premier Resource Group. He has also served as President of both the Chicago Association of Life Underwriters and the General Agents and Managers Association of Chicago. Alan has been published in many industry journals on topics ranging from management issues to retirement planning and has been called on to serve on advisory boards for many financial services product providers.

Active in many charities and organizations, Alan takes great pride in having helped conceive GCG's Generous Community Giving program. This program sends teams of GCG Advisors and employees into the community each month to give hands-on help to a worthwhile cause. In addition, he served on his local school board for nine years, two of which he served as President.

Alan and his wife Carrie live in the Northwest suburbs.  They have three children, Zachary, Jordan and Annie.  Alan enjoys working out, golfing, scuba diving, snowboarding and music when he is away from the office.
