Bradley Shaps joined GCG Financial January 1, 2004 with more than 20 years of experience as an employee benefits consultant. Prior to joining GCG Financial, Brad served as a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and as a Principal at Buck Consultants providing value, added solutions and technical expertise to both large and small employers. Brad's experience includes helping corporations design, implement and communicate qualified retirement plans, group health plans, deferred compensation plans, and executive benefits.
Brad uses his vast experience to provide a wide variety of financial services for both businesses and individuals. He works with businesses in the development and management of their employee benefit programs including: 401(k) plans, group health plans, defined benefit plans, nonqualified plans and other executive benefit programs. In addition, he provides estate planning, exit strategies and wealth management services to individuals.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a law degree from George Washington University. Brad is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the District of Columbia Bar, and a licensed life and health insurance producer. Brad is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc. He has spoken on a variety of employee benefit issues and has authored several articles.
Community and family are very important to Brad. He currently serves on the executive board of Congregation Beth Shalom and is the President of the Men's Club. He has served as a member of the Board of Northbrook Citizens for Drug and Alcohol Awareness and has been actively involved with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago for many years.
Brad lives in Northbrook, Illinois with his wife Gail and their children Erica and Jaclyn. Brad enjoys golf, theatre, duplicate bridge, fantasy baseball, and spending time with his family.
