Bruce J. Friedman has worked in the financial industry since 1989. He began his career at Northern Trust, in Chicago, specializing in Large Corporate ERISA as well as Personal Trust and Investment Management. Bruce spent eighteen years at Northern Trust before joining Bank of America for a brief time and was responsible for Personal Trust and Investment Management clients.
Bruce has concentrated his practice on helping people who are going through transitions in their lives. More specifically, people who are in the process of, or have completed a divorce, widows/widowers, personal injury matters including special needs, trusts, and other business owners.
Bruce's expertise covers the financial services gamut. He offers a concierge type service which is specifically catered towards the individual client's needs, objectives, and goals. He works effectively with clients who have budgeting needs, investment management, insurance, and other issues designed to protect his clients. Literally, Bruce is available 24/7 for his clients.
Bruce has spoken or participated at a variety of conferences, including the Illinois State Bar Association-Family Law Section, The Chicago Bar Association-Family Law Section, The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, American Banking Institute, Cannon Trust School, and various think tank discussions.
Bruce graduated from Syracuse University in 1987, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, is a Registered Securities Representative, has numerous accreditations in futures/options dynamics from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and holds his life and health insurance licenses. He is former Chairman of the City of Highland Park Traffic Commission, member of The Chicago Estate Planning Council, and The Syracuse University Alumni Association.
Bruce and his wife Joni live in Highland Park with their three children, Benji, Abby, and Katie. He is very involved with his children's school and extracurricular activities, and enjoys traveling with his family.
