David Levitz, CLU, ChFC, RHU - President, Employee Benefits
David Levitz, President of Employee Benefits at GCG Financial, Inc., is responsible for the group benefits division. He oversees GCG's group medical, life, and disability business as well as all the voluntary lines of coverage offered to GCG clients. His expertise includes helping businesses with the selection and implementation of various employee benefit programs, including 401(k), medical, disability, and non-qualified plans.
After graduating from the University of Denver with a BSBA in 1982, David obtained his CLU, ChFC, and RHU professional designations. He joined the Denver-based Preferred Financial Planning firm where he developed a thorough knowledge of the insurance and investment business. In 1984, David moved back to Chicago and joined GCG where he expanded his expertise to include estate planning and business strategies.
David is active in numerous charities and civic organizations. He spends time helping to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and many other worthwhile causes and charities. He is an MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) Foundation Knight. (The MDRT Foundation works to increase volunteerism and provide funds to worthy charities worldwide.) David sits on the Board of Directors of the Deerfield, Bannockburn and Riverwoods Chambers of Commerce.
David has earned a Life membership in the MDRT and is a past qualifier of MDRT's Court of the Table and Top of the Table awards. In 2006, he earned the Samuel R. Weems award. This award is given out by Securian Financial Services to the person who has made an outstanding contribution to the MDRT. David has been an annual recipient of the National Quality Award, Health Insurance Quality Award and National Sales Achievement Award.
David is currently a member of various professional organizations, including NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), NAHU, (National Association of Underwriters) and PRG (Premier Resource Group). He is a past President of the North Branch CALU (Chicago Association of Life Underwriters). David is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services.
David is married with two children and devotes quality time to family life. He enjoys coaching baseball and, when time permits, is an avid golfer, skier and sports enthusiast.
