Don Mahlke - Financial Advisor
Don Mahlke is a Financial Advisor with GCG Financial Inc., having joined the firm in 2003. Don specializes in the areas of financial strategies, life and disability insurance, retirement strategies, investment management, and employee benefits. His focus is on working closely with each client to discuss their goals and to develop, implement, and monitor customized solutions and strategies in areas where needs have been identified. Don primarily works with small business owners, professionals and executives who are family-oriented and community-minded.
Don is an active member in his community. He has volunteered with several local youth athletic organizations, coaching basketball, football, baseball, and soccer teams. He has been involved in fund-raising efforts to support the St. Mary of Gostyn School in Downers Grove, serving on their golf outing committee for the past several years. He is a contributing member of the PowerNet networking group based at the Willowbrook Athletic Club.
Don is a graduate of Yale University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering in 1987. While at Yale, Don played football and received league recognition in 1986. His coach, Carm Cozza, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Don is currently taking courses to become a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. He is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with Securian Financial Services, Inc.
Don lives in Downers Grove, IL with his wife, Mary and their four children, Robbie, Katherine, Matthew, and Margaret. He enjoys golf, football, basketball, softball, and spending time with family and friends.
