John Corbett - Senior Employee Benefits Consultant
John joined the Denver GCG Financial office in March of 2009 as a Senior Employee Benefits Consultant with over 13 years of industry experience. He is a licensed Life-Accident-Health agent whose focus is to drive the greatest value by discovering and negotiating the best insurance solutions matching his clients’ needs.
Before coming to GCG, John founded Benelinx, Inc. a successful benefits brokerage firm in Colorado delivering insurance products to client groups of various sizes. As a former underwriter with CIGNA Healthcare, John brings his knowledge of risk management to his clients utilizing funding mechanisms in the Traditional Fully Insured, Minimum Premium and ASO environments.
John, an Arizona native, obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Health & Human Services Administration from the University of Arizona while serving as an intern for the Arizona State Legislature's House of Representatives, Banking and Insurance Committee in 1996. In 2003 John obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Unviersity of Phoenix while working with CIGNA Heatlhcare.
Currently, John is a member of the Metro Denver Association of Health Underwriters, the Colorado Group Insurance Association, the Colorado Human Resource Association, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and South Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
John lives with his wife Carri in Denver, Colorado. His greatest passion is giving back to his community. He has been a member of the Denver Active 20 30 Children's Foundation for over 7 years and has continued to play a leadership role within the organization, including Christmas for Kids Chair, Denver Polo Classic Black Tie Chair, DA 20 30 Vice President and most recently the 2011 Schomp BMW Denver Polo Classic Chair. In 2010, John helped to raise over $900,000 to distribute to over 52 local children's charities for at risk youth.
