Lena Borski - Director of Long Term Care & Disability Sales
Lena Borski works with the financial advisors of GCG Financial as the main specialist in long term care insurance and disability insurance for individuals and businesses. She advises them on appropriate plan design, carrier selection, policy language and field underwriting concerns.
Lena has worked in the insurance industry since 1995 when she began her career as an internal MGA for small group health insurance and voluntary dental insurance for Starmark Insurance, a division of Trustmark. In 1997 she took the opportunity to work with one of the premier MGA's in the area, The Heartland Group, which gave her the ability to work with several carriers in the small group health market.
The Heartland Group, now LTCI Partners, also represented several long term care insurance carriers. In 1999, Lena transitioned to that side of the business. She worked several more years at LTCI Partners developing relationships with agents and carriers nationwide and sharing her expertise in long term care. Lena came to GCG Financial in October of 2003 as the main sales consultant for LTCi. In January of 2006, she also took on the responsibility for consulting on the sales of disability insurance.
Lena graduated in April of 1993 from Barat College, Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors from the Management and Business Department and was named to the Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society. Since college she has persistently pursued continuing education in the insurance industry and has completed the 5 Certified Financial Planner CFP®, and Corporation for Long Term Care, CLTC.
Lena, her husband, David, daughter, Angelia and son, Nicholas live in Round Lake Heights, Illinois. Lena and David enjoy spending time with their children and teaching other families how to live healthier and how to help keep our planet clean. In her spare time, Lena does yoga and enjoys traveling with her family.
