Michael Resnick, Financial Advisor

Michael Resnick brought a vast array of business expertise when he joined the team at GCG Financial.  His acumen extends from the financial markets and risk mitigation to general business knowledge.  At GCG, his focus is on helping families and business owners grow and protect their wealth in a tax efficient manner, helping to allow the transfer of wealth to future generations.

Michael holds the Series 7 and 66 Securities registrations along with Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance Licenses.  He graduated from Brandeis University in 1986 after which he began a very prosperous business career.  As a young man, Michael accepted an offer to clerk on the trading floor of the CBOE, which began 17 years of success on the floors of the CBOE and the CME.  This experience catapulted Michael to the equally fast paced world of hedge funds, where he was a Portfolio Manager for two funds with total assets nearing 300 million dollars.

Michael has always felt that giving back is a very important and rewarding part of life.  It is that personal desire that drives him to continue to be involved with Brandeis University as a member of the National Board of Directors of the Alumni Association, sitting on both the finance and marketing committees.  Additionally, Michael has been an active member of a JUF I/OS allocations committee responsible for overseas allocations.

Michael and his wife Ellen, a sales rep, live in Deerfield with their three beautiful daughters.  When not working, Michael enjoys watching his children dance and play soccer as well as getting out on the golf course to try to regain the elusive single digit handicap.

Michael is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC.
