As Executive Vice President, Michael is a member of the management team of GCG Financial and a member of GCG's Design Center. Michael's focus is on consulting with GCG associates and their clients on estate planning, business ownership succession solutions, executive benefits and retirement strategies.
Michael received both Bachelor of Arts and Law degrees from the University of San Francisco in 1968 and 1971. He became a member of the Illinois State Bar Association in 1971, and received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) in 1979 and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) in 1982.
From 1971 to 1976, Michael was an attorney with the Internal Revenue Service's Estate and Gift Tax Audit Unit in Chicago.
Michael has been active in financial services organizations as a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, Chicago Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the Tax and Estate Planning Sections of the Illinois State Bar Association.
Michael has spoken professionally at meetings of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council, the Chicago South Suburban Estate Planning Council and the Society of Financial Service Professionals on issues of estate planning and business strategies.
Michael has been active in the private sector as a member of Lutheran General Hospital's Foundation Board and Uhlich Children's Home's Development Council in Chicago. Michael and his wife Diana have four children and three grandchildren and live in Arlington Heights.
