Phillip E. Battin - Financial Advisor

Phil Battin is a values-based financial advisor with GCG Financial, providing quality support and service to his clients since 1994. One of Phil’s greatest assets he brings to his clients is his past experiences with both a Wall Street investment firm and Fidelity Investments. He also brings a practical business theory to his high net-worth and small-to-medium sized business owner clients from his own experiences in multiple family-owned businesses. Phil credits his success to his ability to work collaboratively with other advisors (i.e. accountants, attorneys, & bankers) in order to implement quality full-service solutions.

As a Financial Advisor, Phil helps his clients achieve their financial goals by simplifying and resolving their key concerns while helping them gain financial confidence. He assists in areas varying from executive/employee benefits to individual financial wealth strategies. Phil uses sophisticated, academically-based investment techniques to help clients preserve & create wealth.

He works with his business owner clients in three major ways. First, he helps determine the most effective and efficient ways to minimize their tax burdens  through creative design and implementation of various benefit plans such as group health, disability and life insurance, pension, profit-sharing and 401(k) plans. Next, he helps businesses compete in the marketplace by designing executive compensation programs to retain key employees. Finally, he helps business owners with their exit strategy through the use of business succession strategies.

His philosophy on individual financial strategies is to make the process a collaborative effort by working with the individual to target their key concerns. He reviews the full financial profile which includes current assets, investments, insurance, and retirement savings. He ultimately makes recommendations based on the client’s goals, objectives and risk tolerance consistent with their financial profile.

Phil’s education has been dedicated to his career as a financial advisor. He received his undergraduate degree from Cedarville University in Ohio in the areas of Finance and Accounting with a minor in Biblical Studies. He received an International Business & Economics Minor from the International Business Institute where only 50 students are accepted into the program through private colleges and universities in the United States. To further advance his studies, Phil studied in 9 countries and had the privilege of studying under former world leaders and corporate leaders such as World Economic Forum, NATO and Nestle. He studied Legacy Planning through the Heritage Institute in Oregon. He also participated in BOOT Camp through John Brown to advance his knowledge of exit planning strategies. Phil holds his Series 6,7,66 registrations and life and health insurance licenses.
