Robert P. Friedman is a Vice President at GCG Financial, Inc. Rob is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc. Since he joined the firm in 1984, Rob has been serving his clients in the areas of estate planning, executive benefits, employee benefits, retirement strategies and investment services. Rob attended The Ohio State University and majored in Economics. He has received the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He has been published in many industry journals on topics dealing with retirement strategies and has been a speaker for many national industry events. Rob enjoys conducting educational seminars for business and professional groups.
Rob's distinguished career in the financial service industry has earned him a Life & Qualifying Membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (an organization which is comprised of the top 5% of life insurance producers worldwide) and a seat on the Million Dollar Round Table's "Top of the Table". Rob is a 24 year member of GCG's "Black Tie Club". He has been a eight-time recipient of the Maurice Bender Award (leading producer at GCG Financial), 2001 Betsy Woolfolk Courage Award, Premier Resource Group's "Outstanding Service" Award, and a member of Minnesota Life's "Chairman's Club" for eleven years.
Rob is currently a member of various professional organizations including the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, The Chicago Association of Life Underwriters, The Society of Financial Service Professionals and The Premier Resource Group. He has served as president of The Premier Resource Group, which is a national organization of financial industry professionals.
Active in many charities and organizations, Rob takes great pride in his work with his synagogue. He is a past president of Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove, Illinois.
Rob lives in Long Grove, Illinois, with his wife Geri. They have two children, Keith and Brian. Rob loves to golf, watch sporting events and travel.
