Ron Bernstein brings numerous years of financial and business experience to his position as a Financial Advisor at GCG Financial, Inc. Over the past twenty years, Ron has held various financial management positions and has served a diverse group of clients. His wide-ranging experience spans numerous industries including manufacturing, distribution, hospitality and retail.
Ron began his career as a Commodity Trader at the Chicago Board of Trade after graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and Finance. He then joined the accounting firm of Blackman Kallick, LLP where he earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. After several successful years, he entered the private sector by enthusiastically accepting a position as CFO of a publicly-traded medical supply and equipment distributor. Since coming to GCG in 2005, Ron has earned the professional designations of Certified Financial Planner® professional and Certification of Long Term Care, CLTC, to better serve his clients.
Throughout his career, Ron has dedicated himself to helping business owners and individuals. This includes, retirement strategies, education strategies, family security through life insurance strategies, employee and executive benefits, and business protection. This has earned him a solid reputation within the business community as an trusted individual dedicated to resolving problems and creating value.
Ron actively participates in numerous fundraising activities on behalf of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This includes serving on the Executive Board of Trustees for the Greater Illinois Chapter. Ron also serves as Vice-Chairman for the Cohn Weil Golf and Bridge event that consistently raises over $400,000 for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. Ron is an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, The Executive Clubs of Chicago, and the Illinois CPA Society. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, which is comprised of the top financial service professionals worldwide.
Ron enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Susan, and their three children Nikki, David and Danny. When he can find time for himself, Ron enjoys a friendly game of basketball and tennis.
