Shelly is a Vice President of GCG Financial and has been with the firm since 1982 after receiving his Associate Degree from Harper College in 1980. He is a Registered Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc. and specializes in creating customized financial strategies for his clients, which may include estate planning, executive compensation strategies, business continuation strategies, employee benefit strategies, retirement strategies and exit strategies. Shelly’s clients are successful business owners, professionals and key executives.
Shelly is a Life and Qualifying Member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) as well as a Qualifying Member of Court of the Table. He also holds memberships at the Lexington Who’s Who and the Premier Resource Group, which includes serving on several board subcommittees. In addition, Shelly belongs to several national and local associations of Life and Health Underwriters, including the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He has also served multiple terms on the GCG Financial, Inc. Advisory Board.
Active in many charities and organizations, Shelly served on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Suburban JCC and as a past member of the Board of Directors of the Kevin Walpert Memorial Children’s Foundation. Currently he is a sponsor of the Buffalo Grove Recreation Association and is involved in fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Shelly has also worked closely with the Institutional Advancement Department of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, otherwise known as Midwestern University. He has been an executive board member and Treasurer of FOEM, Foundation for Osteopathic Emergency Medicine.
Shelly and his wife Sarah live in Buffalo Grove and spend as much time as possible with their 3 children. They vacation several times a year with the children and enjoy golfing and scuba diving.
