Steve joined GCG Financial in September 2009 as a Financial Advisor, following an extensive career in corporate and private banking with firms including Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Banc One Capital Markets and The First National Bank of Chicago. At GCG, his focus is assisting entrepreneurs and other individuals structuring solutions to enhance and convey their wealth, and helping them to address risk exposures.
Steve holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, as well as BA and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan. His prior assignments have included corporate finance, capital markets work and consulting to institutional and individual clients abroad in both Washington DC and the Chicago area. He is a former director of the CFA Society of Chicago, and is a member of the CFA Institute (formerly known as the Association for Investment Management and Research), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He serves as an officer of the America Israel Chamber of Commerce (Chicago) and on the local boards of American Associates of Ben Gurion University and Jewish Student Union. Steve is a past President of Temple Beth Israel in Skokie, and served as a commission co-chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Chicago.
Steve and his wife Cindy, a registered pharmacist, have lived in Evanston since 1990, where they enjoy family celebrations with their three children, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
